This free fireworks display at <a href="http://www.glasgowlife.org.uk/events/glasgow-fireworks-2012/Pages/default.aspx" target="_blank">Glasgow Green</a> is the biggest Bonfire Night event in the Scottish city. In 2012 it takes place on Monday 5 November and promises a funfair, entertainment and food and drink stalls to enjoy before an explosive finale. Starts 4pm.</p>

In Lewes, spectacular torch-lit processions hit the streets on Monday 5 November. <a href="http://www.lewesbonfirecelebrations.com/" target="_blank">Lewes Bonfire Night</a> claims to be the biggest celebrated 5th November event in the world with its seventeen burning crosses, parades organised by local bonfire societies and traditional costume-wearers, from Mongol warriors to Tudor dress. The United Grand procession starts at 7.40pm.</p>

As one of the biggest free community events in London, <a href="http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/inmyarea/events/whats-on/fireworks/Pages/default.aspx" target="_blank">Blackheath Fireworks</a> now attracts up to 1000,000 people each year. In 2012 it takes place on Saturday 3 November at 8pm and attracts families, couples and friends to its funfair rides from 4pm and bar and food stalls from 5pm before the fireworks light up the sky over the Heath.</p>

Celebrate Bonfire Night with a bang at <a href="http://www.ironbridge.org.uk/about_us/news_releases/article.asp?id=580" target="_blank">Blists Hill Victorian Town</a> in the Ironbridge Gorge, where you can watch the spectacular fireworks extravaganza on Saturday 3 November from 6pm. The town's streets are as they would have been in the 19th century and you can talk to 'resident' Victorians at the shops, cottages and workshops that stay open for the event. Don't miss the dramatic demonstrations of iron casting in the foundry and iron-rolling in one of the last working iron-rolling mills in the world. Get the best views from the Village Green. Fancy watching the fireworks from the beach? The <a href="http://www.holyheadroundtable.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=57:round-table-bonfire-a-fireworks-display-5th-november-2012&catid=2:fundraising&Itemid=7" target="_blank">Round Table Bonfire & Fireworks Display </a>takes place at Anglesey's Penrhos Beach on Monday 5 November and features a bonfire lit by flaming arrows, a hog roast and rockets exploding over Holyhead Bay. - Vikings & Fireworks Spectacular, Tutbury Castle, Staffordshire

Soak up the atmosphere at <a href="http://www.tutburycastle.com/" target="_blank">Tutbury Castle</a> on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 November at 6pm, where you can enjoy an alternative fireworks night with Viking games and a barbecue. There will be a moonlit battle followed by a Viking 'funeral' and for the first time ever this year, the castle will be opening its doors early at 3pm for a family day with a living history camp. Of course there are fireworks to mark the occasion too! Tickets: £7.50 for adults; free for children under five.</p>

On the 3 and 4 November Kent's Hop Farm is transformed into the <a href="http://www.thehopfarm.co.uk/events/201/fireworks-spectacular/" target="_blank">Fireworks Spectacular</a> with lots of family fun and children's entertainment. The child-friendly display features fewer loud bangs from 6pm, followed by an Olympic-themed display at 9pm. On Sunday you can really get into the spirit of Bonfire Night and bring your own Guy Fawkes to place on top of the Hop Farm Bonfire. Tickets: £6.30 for children; £10.50 for adults.</p>
- Flaming Tar Barrels, Devon, England

Stand back as the townspeople of Ottery St Mary in Devon carry flaming barrels through the streets of the town on Saturday 3 November during the annual Guy Fawkes ritual <a href="http://www.otterytarbarrels.co.uk/" target="_blank">Flaming Tar Barrels</a>. The rolling of the barrels starts at 4pm and is free for all to watch. There is a fireworks display and a giant bonfire that will keep you warm throughout the evening.</p>

Round up the family and head to Yorkshire's premier Bonfire Night display, <a href="http://www.yellowbusevents.co.uk/after_dark.php" target="_blank">After Dark Fireworks Spectacular</a> at Don Valley Grass Bowl, which has been going since 1996. On Monday 5 November Guy Fawkes' Night fans are treated to a giant funfair, fireworks set to music, food stalls, a huge bonfire and a live music stage. From 5.30pm.
