She's the dazzling singer who's been making headlines for her plunging attire at Margaret Thatcher's funeral, and for running the London Marathon with her makeup on (where, just for the record, we thought she looked fab).
And now Katherine Jenkins is set to add a sprinkling of her glamour to two
P&O Cruises, where she will delight guests by performing for them.
The four-night cruises on the Oriana depart from Southampton on 31 October and 27 November, and will both call at Zeebrugge (for Bruges) and Amsterdam, and start from £399 per person.
The Oriana, which is exclusively for adults, has three pools, Oasis Spa, gym, theatre, cinema, sports court, traditional deck games, plus numerous restaurants and bars, including Ocean Grill by celebrity chef Marco Pierre White.
P&O spokeswoman Carol Marlow told
Aol Travel: "These short breaks provide the opportunity for an indulgent weekend of fine dining, pampering in the spa, time to explore the ports, rounding it all off with a very special performance from the world's most prolific classical crossover artist Katherine Jenkins."
Cruises are now offering more 'celebrity experiences' as part of their packages to attract holidaymakers, and this year has seen, and will see, a host of stars take to the high seas.
Back in May, Russell Watson performed for guests on a three-night trip on P&O's Aurora, while others picked up gardening tips from Charlie Dimmock on a trip around the Canaries with
Fred Olsen that set off on the 22 April, and travellers on P&O's Azura were treated to a guest appearance by
Britain's Got Talent stars Jonathan and Charlotte.
Going forward, you can show off your fancy footwork with stars from
Strictly Come Dancing, with seven SCD-themed cruises booked in for 2013 with
P&O Cruises.
Celebrated author Bill Bryson will be giving lectures on
Cunard's 'Autumn Colours' voyage from New York to Canada via New England between 15 and 27 October.
And renowned wine expert and specialist sommelier Olly Smith will be on board
P&O's Azura for an elegant 'booze cruise' departing on 7 September from Southampton.
