Footage from inside the cockpit of a light plane shows the moment the aircraft came crashing down into a forest in the US.
All of the four hikers on board miraculously escaped with their lives, with reports suggesting the pilot suffered broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
The plane was on its way in to the mountains of Idaho to visit the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area.
But, according to The Sun, warm temperatures resulted in an increase of density altitude, which prevented the plane to get enough height.
Then, the plane hits an air pocket and starts to plunge to the ground, smashing through trees on its way.
According to the Herald Sun, one of the survivors wrote on YouTube: "After flying up into the mountains for a hike in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness we were planning on flying to a small mountain town for dinner.
"Due to warming temperatures we had a hard time gaining altitude. After taking off we hit an air pocket that made us rapidly lose altitude, pushing us down into the trees.
"The cameras were left on for a couple of hours during the aftermath. Thank you to all the many individuals who eventually came to our aid and took the time and effort to help in any way they could."
